Keeping your loved one comfortable is our top priority. Our nurses carefully manage pain and other symptoms so each day can be as peaceful and comfortable as possible.

Our home health aides help with everyday needs like bathing, dressing, and getting ready for the day. They also can lend a hand with some light housekeeping, relieving family members of some of the daily responsibilities.

Caring for a loved one can be overwhelming. Our social workers are here to listen, guide, and connect families with helpful resources—from community support and finances to medical decisions and funeral planning. They’re a steady presence when things feel uncertain.

Our spiritual counselors are here to provide comfort in a way that respects each patient’s beliefs and traditions, without judgment or pressure. They’re there to listen, support, and help bring peace to the entire family during a deeply personal time.

We know grief doesn’t end at the bedside. That’s why our team offers ongoing support for family and friends for up to 13 months after a loss, helping you navigate this journey one step at a time.

Volunteers can be a friendly face, a listening ear, or a helping hand around the house. They can help in a variety of ways including sitting and talking with patients, helping around the house, being there so family members can take a break, and more.

Our multidisciplinary team—including music therapists, therapy animals, and art therapists—bring their special talents and warm presence to patients and families, creating a calm, comfortable, and joyful environment.

We support our veterans through national programs and our own Salute to Service, which provides specialized veteran-focused care and support. Through specialized training and a deep commitment to honoring military service, BAYADA provides care that not only supports veterans’ unique needs but also celebrates their lives.

Respite care gives family caregivers a chance to rest and recharge, knowing their loved one is in good hands. For up to five days, care can be provided in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility, hospital, or inpatient hospice setting—offering peace of mind for caregivers and comfort for those they love.

Fulfilling our patients’ last wishes is our greatest honor. We work together to create special moments of happiness, dignity, and memories that families will cherish.

We understand that when time is limited, you want to spend as much time as you can with your loved one. That’s why we offer assistance with end-of-life planning, including funerals, medical directives, and legal matters, so you can devote your energy to being together as a family.

FAQs

Answers to common questions about our services, how we support you and your family, and more.

Hospice care focuses on comfort, dignity, and quality of life for people living with a life - limiting illness. A team of caregivers—including doctors, nurses, social workers, spiritual counselors, and aides—supports both the patient and their family. The goal is to ease pain, bring comfort, and provide emotional and spiritual support every step of the way.

Starting hospice is a very personal—sometimes, fearful—decision. But it doesn’t have to be. When someone receives a prognosis of six months or less, hospice care becomes an option, but many families put off making that decision because it feels like giving up. Rather, hospice brings the kind of comfort and support that give people the opportunity to live out their time—their way—with a better quality of life. In fact, it has been proven that people live an average of 29 days longer when they start hospice early
