Fifty years ago, Mark Baiada used his life savings and a deep desire to help others to start a company focused on providing care at home. Mark didn’t just want to extend a home health care lifeline to people in need, he wanted to do it incomparably well.

Guided by his deep-rooted family values—“Think big. Work hard. Show love.”—Mark sought to offer people the unwavering compassion, excellence, and reliability they deserve in the place they love the most.

With a young, hardworking staff that was just as committed to Mark’s vision as he was, the company quickly grew. Within a year, a contract with the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging had doubled its business. Within a decade, there were 11 service offices. Clients and their families appreciated the way BAYADA caregivers always showed up, delivered care from the heart, and were willing to go the extra mile.

From a single office on Walnut Street in Philadelphia to over 360 locations in the U.S. and around the world, our dedicated team has reached into millions of homes, delivering care with steadfast commitment.

Every day, BAYADA clinicians and caregivers enter the heart of someone’s world in their time of greatest need. We’ve walked alongside clients and families through moments of joy, struggle, and transition, with our care extending beyond medical needs to embracing the full spectrum of human experience.
