Private Duty Nursing Care
Private duty nursing care provides skilled, compassionate medical care from clinically trained expert caregivers such as registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs). This care is designed to help clients who are managing complex medical needs or conditions, and is available in shifts from 2 up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Some of the most common care services our nurses provide are:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilator care
- Respiratory treatments
- Catheter and ostomy care
- Gastrostomy (feeding tube) care
- Nasogastric (N-G) tube care
- Medication and injection administration
- Oversight of general health and preventative care to immediately address any new medical conditions that may arise
Ongoing care you can trust
If you or a loved one needs help with ongoing medical needs due to chronic illness, injury, or disability, BAYADA can help. Our highly skilled nurses strive to give our clients the highest quality medical attention, ongoing support, and rehabilitative care they need to help them live a full life.
We know that many of the conditions that require nursing care present not only medical challenges, but psychological and emotional challenges, too. First-class medical care is only part of what we can provide—it’s the trust, reassurance, and hope that our nurses bring to the entire family that is often most valuable. When a BAYADA Nurse comes into your home, he or she comes into your life. We take that privilege very seriously and are committed to earning your trust with every visit.
Nurses who are the best at what they do
Our expert private duty nursing care is always provided by experienced BAYADA Nurses—either RNs or LPNs. We are committed to delivering the highest quality care possible, and to ensure that, we have very strict hiring standards and ongoing training and education for our nurses and all of our caregivers.
Being a BAYADA client also means you’ll have access to on-call support any time you need it, 24 hours a day. And because BAYADA offers other types of home care such as personal care and companionship services and home health care, you can have peace of mind knowing that no matter your specific situation, BAYADA has care options to meet your needs.

- Require a tracheostomy and ventilator to breathe
- Need help with rehabilitation following a traumatic brain injury (TBI) or spinal cord injury (SCI)
- Are managing a progressive neurological disease such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis (MS), or muscular dystrophy (MD)
- Are living with paraplegia or quadriplegia
- Have complicated medical needs but want to remain at home for their care
- Are looking to transition from a care facility to home again
Doing the Right Thing at the Right Time
The first and still one of the few clinical simulation training programs of its kind in home care, BAYADA’s innovative simulation training helps prepare our nurses to deliver the highest-quality care. The skills they learn and practice in the simulation lab also help them appropriately respond to a medical emergency, keeping their clients safe at home and out of the hospital. Currently only offered in specific locations, BAYADA’s simulation training program is expanding across the country.
Watch as BAYADA Nurse Educator John Morris, RN, demonstrates the benefits of simulation training in our state-of-the art lab.
