Why This Matters

  • Expanded VA funding improves veterans' access to home care, reduces family costs and supports quality care.

  • Growing veteran demand demonstrates the need for more nurses, while stronger home care benefits can increase provider confidence in home-based referrals.

USA Today Loving Care

More nurses needed as demand for home care ticks up among Veteran population

USA Today covers a new federal law that expands VA coverage for home health care from 65% to 100%, helping more aging and disabled veterans afford care at home. The change reduces out-of-pocket costs, supports aging in place and may improve outcomes while avoiding facility-based care.

"Personalized, attentive home care is one of the most tangible ways we honor their service: by meeting them where they are, literally and humanely."
