New Hires

Welcome to BAYADA! Every day, you’ll be caring for people at every age and stage of life, or assisting those who do. To support you, BAYADA offers a range of choices—including medical, dental, and vision plans—to fit different budgets, lifestyles, and health care needs. All of our medical plans meet the individual requirements of the Affordable Care Act, which means you won’t pay a penalty if you enroll in any of the BAYADA options.

These plans include free checkups to keep you healthy, and discounts for the pharmacy, dental, and vision services you and your family need.

If you work an average of 30 hours a week over a three-month period (three months in a row), you may be able to choose from additional plans that offer even more benefits! The Benefits office will notify you if you qualify to sign up for more benefits.

And after one year of employment and at least 1,000 hours of service, you can participate in a 401(k) plan that will help you save for your retirement. You’ll also be eligible for a matching contribution of 35% of the first 4% you contribute to the Plan. You’ll be notified by Prudential— our 401(k) administrator—when you’re eligible to sign up.

4 reasons why you need health insurance

  1. Regular checkups (yearly physicals, vaccinations, flu shots, etc.) can keep you from getting sick, so you won’t miss work—or pay. Checkups can also catch small problems before they become big—and expensive—to treat.
  2. People without health insurance can end up in debt. Health insurance is expensive, but so are visits to the doctor and prescription drugs. If you’re paying the full cost of prescriptions, doctors’ office visits, etc., then bills for an unexpected sickness or injury can add up very quickly.
  3. BAYADA coverage costs less than the $695 penalty that the IRS will charge people without health coverage. Combined with paying the full cost of any health care expenses, that could add up to bills you can’t afford.
  4. Having health insurance is about more than just following the law. It’s about sleeping better at night knowing that you and your family can get the health care and services you need to stay healthy, and do the things that matter to you.
