When will I receive information about Open Enrollment?

All employees will receive an Open Enrollment communication on or about May 25.

What is the deadline to submit changes?

The Open Enrollment period will close on June 17. Changes received after this date will not be accepted. Employees will be able to obtain, change, cancel or keep insurance coverage through BAYADA.

What products am I able to change during Open Enrollment?

The Open Enrollment campaign will pertain to medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts.

Have there been any changes to the premiums for medical insurance for 2016-2017?

Weekly premiums for most medical plans will stay the same

  • No change to the Option C: HDHP premiums
  • Claims for many of the medical plans/coverage levels were lower than expected this year. As a result, the majority of employees (two-thirds) will not see an increase in premiums for the 2016–2017 plan year.
  • However, claims for certain medical plans/coverage levels were higher than anticipated. Premiums for those plans/coverage levels will increase.

Individual premiums are listed on your paper enrollment form.

Have there been any changes to the medical insurance plans for 2016-2017?

For Mainland USA employees, BAYADA increased the coinsurance level in the High Deductible Health Plan to 75%.

I do not want to make any changes to my medical, dental or vision insurance. What do I have to do?

No action is required if an employee wants to keep the current medical, dental, or vision insurance coverage.

I am currently enrolled in an FSA/HSA account. What do I have to do?

Enrollment in Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts will not carry over from one plan year to the next. Action must be taken if an employee wishes to participate in these plans.

When will my changes become effective?

The effective date of new coverage or any changes to your benefit plan will be July 1, 2016.

I have made changes to my insurance coverage, when will I receive new insurance cards?

New insurance identification cards will be mailed within 2-3 weeks of the effective coverage date (July 1, 2016).
