All BAYADA clinical leaders are invited to join us for stimulating live sessions on some of the timeliest issues in health care, from COVID-19 and beyond. Our diverse menu of cutting-edge topics and expert speakers, a multi-practice panel discussion, on-demand multimedia resources, and special courses to earn CE credits—all at no cost to you—is certain to offer something for everyone.

THE 2020 ANN BAIADA AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN NURSING LEADERSHIP

  • Former Director Ann Baiada, RN, CRRN (Retired) was instrumental in advancing clinical excellence through education and leadership training during her 27-year tenure with BAYADA.
  • A true trailblazer, Ann founded White Shoes in 1999 “to empower, inspire, and support” BAYADA clinical leaders, helping to ensure the highest level of client care.
  • The Ann Baiada Award for Excellence in Nursing Leadership—given to nurses by nurses—was established in 2006 to honor Ann’s pioneering spirit and commitment to clinical excellence and leadership and to recognize and celebrate those clinicians who demonstrate Ann’s high ideals.

We have learned so much about resiliency, loss, our immune systems, public health emergencies, and core principles of infection prevention. Barb will synthesize a mountain of information she has pulled together to clarify the big picture of where we have been, how far we have come, and where we will be in the future.

Mindfulness practices have been shown to help reduce anxiety, reduce emotional reactivity, promote self-awareness and self-compassion, and improve communication. Join Lesley Williams to discuss how clinical leaders can apply this knowledge and learn about some mindfulness training techniques and strategies that can help reduce nurse burnout.

And although we are making progress on the availability of vaccinations and PPE, and adapting our clinical practices, there is an “ongoing-ness” to this crisis that will require clinical leaders to sustain their level of energy, focus, and leadership capabilities. Join Kathleen Kane as she shares insights and strategies to help clinical leaders maintain resilience for their colleagues, clients, and themselves.

Barb Bancroft
MSN, RN, NP

Barb Bancroft, MSN, RN, NP has provided more than 2,800 continuing education sessions for health care professionals in the US and Canada on clinical topics such as pathophysiology, physical assessment, and pharmacology. Her highly informative, dynamic and humorous presentation style makes learning enjoyable, as demonstrated by a long list of keynote speaking engagements for professional associations and corporate events. Barb is the author of eight books and has held several university faculty positions.

Kathleen McInerney Kane

Kathleen McInerney Kane is a Principal at Praxis Consulting Group where she leads their health care practice and brings 25 years of management consulting experience to her client work with clinical leaders, teams, and organizations. Kathleen’s areas of focus include coaching, executive assessment and succession planning, group process design and facilitation, leadership development, executive team development, and systems level change.

Lesley Williams
MSN, RN, CTTS

Lesley Williams, MSN, RN, CTTS is a mindfulness teacher and consultant and a senior adjunct professor in the nursing program at Montgomery County College. She attended professional training with Jon Kabat Zinn and studied extensively with the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness. Lesley offers a variety of services in the areas of stress management, tobacco addiction, substance abuse, health care, self-care, resiliency, and behavioral change.
