Lasting Legacy Plan
Mark Baiada and family to transform BAYADA Home Health Care into a nonprofit organization to perpetuate our mission and ensure that it thrives for generations to come.
When considering his succession plan, BAYADA Home Health Care Founder and Chairman Mark Baiada realized that the company’s future relies on sustaining and nurturing its commitment to our culture and to each other. So he made a fundamental shift in BAYADA’s business model to transition the company to a nonprofit organization to ensure that the company’s mission, vision, beliefs and values (The BAYADA Way®) continue to guide employee actions for the next 100 years and beyond.
To ensure long-term sustainability, Mark and his family are transitioning BAYADA (a private, family-owned company) into a nonprofit in early 2019 that Mark will steward as Chairman. David Baiada, who has worked with the company since 2002, assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in August 2017.
This plan to restructure BAYADA into a nonprofit reflects the combined purpose of helping people live safely at home with comfort, independence, and dignity; protecting employees’ livelihoods; and promoting BAYADA’s vision of making the highest quality home health care available to everyone, worldwide. The unique transition is a natural step in BAYADA’s journey to ensure that the important work of the organization—guided by The BAYADA Way®—will continue for generations to come, and that good people who are called to a higher level of serving always have a place of value at BAYADA.
