Experienced hospice team

Our experienced professionals are caring members of your community who are focused entirely on hospice care. Director Phyllis Tarbell, RN, BSN has more than 30 years of experience in hospice, community health, and home health, and has a proven track record of ensuring patient satisfaction. Psychosocial Services Manager Kate Lathrop is a licensed social worker with more than a decade of social work experience—right here in Vermont.

Our dedicated office team also includes:

  • Clinical Manager
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Community Liaison
  • Client Services Manager
  • Associate

In addition to our office and field teams, volunteers make an important difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Some provide companionship, run errands, or help with other tasks. But no matter what they do, they are a gift!

To celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week in April, we hosted an appreciation luncheon for many of our Rutland and Bennington-area volunteers to express our gratitude to all who care for our patients. During the event, volunteers shared stories of rewarding experiences with their clients and families, and everyone had a great time. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer with us, please let Kate know. We provide a flexible training and orientation schedule to meet your needs.
