Westfield Resident to Receive National Hero Award

August 23, 2004 – Winston-Salem, NC – Deborah Brown—a Westfield resident and Registered Nurse (RN)—is being recognized as a “National Hero.” Bayada Nurses, a national home health care company, is honoring Brown as part of Bayada Nurses’s Heroes on the Home Front Program because of her dedication to providing skilled, caring, and reliable home health care. The ceremony will take place this Thursday, August 26th in the Winston-Salem office.

The Heroes on the Home Front Program recognizes Bayada Nurses’s employees who go beyond the call of duty in serving their clients. According to a colleague, “Deborah’s skills as a nurse, her flexibility in accommodating the family’s needs and her willingness to work long hours, afforded her client’s family piece of mind when they were not around.”

Deborah Brown has been offering care through the Winston-Salem Skilled Office for two-and-a-half years. During her tenure with Bayada Nurses, Deborah has proven to be a skilled, caring and reliable Hero on the Home Front, whose positive attitude impressed her client’s family to describe her as a “beautiful person inside and out”. “She brightened our days and lightened our nights. Debbie Brown will always be part of our family”, said one client’s mother.

Founded in 1975, Bayada Nurses is an independently-owned home health care agency that employs more than 10,000 RNs, LPNs, home health aides, and therapists working from more than 100 offices in 15 states.
