Hackensack,
NJ - Bayada Nurses is pleased to announce the opening of a new division
that will serve Medicaid patients in Bergen and Passaic counties. The
division will operate out of Bayada's Hackensack office (located at
90 Main Street) and will be under the direction of Robin Thomson.
The Medicaid division will provide a broad spectrum of home care services
(including skilled nursing, personal care, and long-term care) and features
bilingual staff members fluent in both Spanish and English. Only Medicaid
cases will be accepted, and referrals are accepted 24 hours a day. In
addition to home care services, the division also provides training
and community outreach programs. The training programs are designed
for people interested in becoming home health aides (HHA) or certified
nursing assistants (CNAs) who want to become dually certified.
The decision to open the division was made after Bayada Nurses offices
began receiving an increasing number of Medicaid cases within the region.
"Bergen and Passaic Counties have a large Medicaid community, and Bayada
wanted to better meet their needs," says Thomson. "Medicaid clients
in the region will soon learn why our employees are called Heroes on
the Home Front."
Thomson has more than 10 years of home care experience as well as a
strong marketing background. In prior positions, she was instrumental
in starting-up health care offices in Passaic County.
Founded in 1975 by J. Mark Baiada, Bayada Nurses is an independently
owned home health care agency that employs more than 6,000 RNs, LPNs,
home health aides, and therapists working from more than 65 offices
in 11 states.
