Bayada Nurses Names National Heroes

August 16, 2004 – Moorestown, NJ -- Bayada Nurses, a Moorestown, NJ-based national home health care company, recently honored Deborah Brown, Dawn Parker and Sallie Lipps as “National Heroes.” They were recognized as part of Bayada Nurses’s Heroes on the Home Front Program because of their dedication to providing skilled, caring, and reliable home health care.

The Heroes on the Home Front Program recognizes Bayada Nurses’s employees who go beyond the call of duty in serving their clients. The employees’ proven reliability, tremendous clinical skill and conscientious care provide peace of mind for their clients’ families when they cannot be by their loved ones’ side.

Deborah Brown has been a Registered Nurse (RN) with Bayada Nurses for two-and-a-half years. Her positive attitude impressed her client’s family to describe her as a “beautiful person inside and out”. “Debbie Brown will always be part of our family”, said the client’s mother. Office Director Robin McCarson recognized Deborah for her exceptional “skills as a nurse, her flexibility in accommodating the family’s needs and her willingness to work long hours.”

Dawn Parker has been with Bayada Nurses as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for five years. Nursing Supervisor Lisa Fiore knows Dawn to be a “complete, well-rounded nurse—kind, caring, compassionate, empathetic, organized, and reliable.” Dawn’s calm nature and excellent nursing skills enabled a quadriplegic client to enjoy his first vacation in twenty years. Another client, previously consumed by depression, credited Dawn with making him “want to go on living”.

Sallie Lipps has been providing care as a Home Health Aide (HHA) for eleven years. Her keen clinical judgment has saved many lives and she has proven to be effective with the most demanding personalities and the most fragile medical conditions. Service Director Emily Downs described Sallie as, “The Quintessential Home Health Aide” for her excellent communication skills, her unsurpassed bedside care and her ability to mediate between family, client, hospital staff and medical professionals.

Founded in 1975 by J. Mark Baiada, Bayada Nurses is an independently-owned home health care agency that employs more than 10,000 RNs, LPNs, home health aides, social workers and therapists working from more than 90 offices in 16 states.
