Blood Pressure Screenings Offered during National Home Care Month |
||
| October 20, 2004 – Philadelphia, PA - Bayada Nurses is sponsoring free blood pressure screenings in celebration of National Home Care Month in November. The screenings will take place every Tuesday in November inside The Bourse building, located between Market and Chestnut Streets, with entrances on 4th and 5th Streets. All members of the community are welcome to stop by and the event will be hosted between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. “We thought the free blood pressure screenings would be a great way to give something to the community that is useful, and to promote awareness of the home health care industry”, says Judi Gases, community liaison for the Philadelphia visits office. The home care industry
has been growing exponentially and is expected to continue huge growth
through 2020. Home care clients of all ages are now able to get highly-technical,
skilled care and still enjoy the privacy, freedom and familiar surroundings
of their own home. For families with older adults, this is a much better
option than a nursing home or retirement community. Nurses enjoy working
in home care because they work with only one patient at a time – a big
change from the frantic pace of other health care environments. Founded in 1975, Bayada Nurses is an independently owned home health care agency that employs more than 10,000 nurses, home health aides, and therapists working from more than 100 offices in 15 states. For more information
about the free blood pressure screenings, call the Philadelphia visits
office at 215-413-0600 or the Philadelphia private duty, adult or pediatrics
offices at 215-413-5000; for more information on Bayada Nurses, visit
