Survey Gives Nurses Good Marks for Honesty and Ethics

For the third year in a row, a poll conducted by Gallup News Service reveals that Americans rate nursing as one of the professions with the highest standards of honesty and ethics. Almost 84% of Americans ranked nurses as "very high" or "high" for honesty and ethics. Since the poll started in 1999, nurses have the topped the list every year. In 2001, nurses placed second to firefighters-not surprising after the September 11th attacks. Another interesting fact is that, according to poll results, nurses are trusted more than medical doctors, pharmacists, engineers, college professors, dentists and even clergy!
