What Is the Hero on the Home Front Recognition Program?

Something extraordinary is happening at Bayada Nurses, and we want to honor those who make it happen each day. We set high standards for our employees and those who unselfishly meet or exceed our ideals are often considered heroes by the clients they serve. Our Hero on the Home Front Program is designed to honor our Heroes on the Home Front and provide them with the recognition they deserve.

Who is nominated?
Office staff and clients can nominate any RN, LPN, HHA or OTHER field employee by completing the official nomination form. Additionally, clients may e-mail the name of their Hero, office location, and supporting comments to HeroProgram@bayada.com. To qualify, a nominee must embody the Bayada Nurses core values:

  • Compassion - demonstrates a kind-hearted demeanor and an unfaltering commitment to client advocacy
  • Excellence - demonstrates professionalism and strives to achieve the highest quality in their work
  • Reliability - displays consistency in meeting or exceeding performance standards and dependably keeps commitments

How are nominees honored and what do they win?
There are four levels to the recognition program-Office Heroes of the Quarter, Division Heroes of the Quarter, National Heroes of the Quarter, and National Heroes of the Year.

Quarterly, each Bayada Nurses service office selects Office Heroes of the Quarter in the RN, LPN, HHA and OTHER categories. These Office Heroes are then nominated as Division Heroes of the Quarter for their respective service divisions. Divisions select one Division Hero in each of the RN, LPN, HHA, and OTHER categories. From the Division Heroes, a panel of impartial national judges selects National Heroes of the Quarter in each of the RN, LPN, HHA and OTHER categories. At the end of the calendar year, all National Heroes of the first, second, third and fourth quarters are considered for a National Hero of the Year title. At the Bayada Nurses Awards Weekend held each spring, the National Heroes of the Year in the RN, LPN, HHA and OTHER categories are announced and honored.
