Rita McCormick's dedication and skill are illustrated by her work with a pediatric client who has a degenerative disease that leaves him paralyzed, blind, mute, and suffering from many other medical conditions. Thanks to her excellent assessment skills and understanding of the patient's behavior, Rita was instrumental in the early diagnosis of several problems that prevented the patient from having to be hospitalized. In addition, Rita assumed responsibility for orienting new nurses to the case, even though this means many extra hours of work. To ensure coverage for her client, Rita has been known to work on her days off. Because of Rita's skill and dedication, the family can rest easy when she is there because they know their loved one is in good hands. Rita has worked for Bayada Nurses since 1998.

Kathy Busnardo's dedication and professionalism are illustrated by her calm under pressure and devotion to her pediatric clients. Kathy works on a particularly challenging case that has multiple special needs children. One example of her heroic efforts occurred when one of the children she was caring for stopped breathing. Although she was alone in the house, Kathy did not panic. She initiated CPR, called 911, kept the other children calm, and worked with the EMTs to stabilize the child she had revived. Once the child was taken to the hospital, she remained in the home to care for the other children. Thanks to Kathy's efforts, the child who stopped breathing made a full recovery. Kathy has worked for Bayada Nurses since September 2000.

Margaret Galletto's dedication is illustrated by her reliability, loyalty, and tireless support of her clients. During her 19 years of service, she has worked with only four clients-staying with each of them until the end. According to Division Director Linda Siessel, "Margaret is an angel whose time has come to be honored. She epitomizes the quiet and dutiful caregiver with such permanence that transcends every statistic in home care. She has dedicated 19 uninterrupted years of service to Bayada Nurses. I am proud to be associated with such an extraordinary example of heroism." In the 19 years that Margaret has worked for Bayada Nurses, she never called out sick once.
